At a meeting of the UN Security Council this evening requested too by the Arab Group a resolution was unanimously adopted calling on Israel to refrain from deporting any Palestinian civilians from the occupied territories in connection with the recent unrest in the West Bank and Gaza. The Council also called on Israel to abide by its obligations under the 1949 Fourth Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.
